The International Journal of History and Social Sciences (jhss) provides a forum for peer reviewed research in history and other fields of social sciences. In this context the journal invites articles that blend empirical research with theoretical work, undertake comparisons across time and space, or contribute to the development of quantitative and qualitative methods of analysis.

Four issues of the journal have been published and the fifth is under the process of publication. Articles are invited for the sixth (July-December 2012) issue. jhss is also electronically published (EISSN: 2305-0187) and accessible to wider readership at that ensures your paper citations by other researchers.

Style Guide for Authors
Manuscripts must be typed in double-spaced (including quotations, notes, information in tables and the list of references) using only one side of the paper. The length of Article must be between 5000 to 8000 words. Complete title of research paper, author’s brief introduction along with postal and email addresses and word count should be clearly written on the title page. The Author’s name must not be mentioned on any page of the research paper. This is just to ensure the secrecy and blind review of the papers. The abstract should be written on a separate page along with the list of key words and complete references at the end of the article. Contributors should refer to the Kate Turabian (Chicago) style which is available on any website.

Journal welcomes submissions from the larger international research community of social scientists working in NGOs, IGOs, and public and private organizations.
